ABOUT

Effective Product and Brand Management are pivotal to success.  They have so many touch points across a business that Product Management is often described as being the hub at the centre of a wheel.  As a consequence, if they aren’t working to their optimum, then neither is the business.  Success in this area flows to the rest of business and from that flows improved sales and profit.

Much of the costs incurred or created from this area are intangible and often not thought about, but with strong process and commercial thinking cost reduces, product becomes better which leads to increased sales and profits.  We can help you establish best practice and the disciplines needed to make it work.

Thinking ‘In The Round’ is critical to achieving positive results.  So much time is spent focused inside each area of the business that we can often loose sight of the whole.  Thinking about the connections and inter dependencies across a business allows us to operate more effectively, work more collaboratively and deliver better results.

Richard Moyle

With over 20 years’ experience, Richard has gained Product, Brand and Commercial Management expertise working for both global brands and smaller businesses.  This has given him a deep insight into best practice process and how this can be adapted to fit different environments.

Starting out on the technical side for an M&S supplier, the chance then came to work for Karrimor, an outdoor brand that he had known and loved since childhood.  Initially in Supply Chain and Sourcing roles, Richard then moved across to the commercial side.  Working for a number of brands, he developed his Product and Category Management skills.  Senior commercial roles followed, heading business areas within brands and as a Brand Commercial Director.

This combination of operational and commercial experience has given Richard a deep understanding of all of the critical elements of developing branded product propositions and how they impact across a business.  His philosophy of thinking ‘in the round’ has been born from years immersed in the development of successful product and brands.
